RIYADH, Oct 5 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia's supreme court Saturday announced that tomorrow Sunday would mark the first day of the month of Thul-Hijja of year 1434 in the Hijra calendar, thus Eid Al-Ahda would fall on October 15.
The court said in a statement quoted by the official TV that standing at Mount Arafat would be on Monday, October 14, and the first day of Eid Al-Adha, Muslims' big feast, would be on the following day.
The court yesterday urged people in Saudi Arabia to inform to the nearest court if they saw crescent of Thul-Hijja.
Muslims perform Hajj, or pilgrimage, during the month of Thul-Hijja. The peak of the Hajj when pilgrims stand on Mount Arafat. (end) od.bs KUNA 052315 Oct 13NNNN
