LONDON, July 16 (KUNA) -- The British Government is offering non-medical equipment for protection against contaminating gases to the opposition Free Syrian Army, Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Tuesday.
Hague, addressing a session of legislators, said the supplies include masks for protection against nerve gas, treatment medications and devices for detection of chemical arms.
The government has decided to order dispatch of these materials without going through parliamentary procedures, for existence of strong evidences about the Syrian regime usage of chemical agents.
The minister estimated cost of the supplies at 656,000 sterling pounds. (end) kd.rk KUNA 161947 Jul 13NNNN
