SANAA, May 1 (KUNA) -- Yemeni President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi said
Wednesday the political parties participating in the national dialogue are
"very close" to full success.
"Today, we are so close to make a complete success and awaiting the
dialogue's results, which will forge the new future of Yemen," President Hadi
said during his meeting here with UN Envoy to Yemen Jamal Benoma and a number
of UN experts.
The talks with the UN delegation dealt with several issues concerning the
implementation progress of the political settlement in the country based on
the Gulf initiative, as well as the national dialogue and southern issue, he
said.
The Yemeni leader added that the dialogue is moving ahead very positively."
For his part, Benomar conveyed the UN secretary general congratulations to
President Hadi on the achievements made in the country, particularly the
decisions of the armed forces restructuring.
The restructuring decisions were necessary and should be taken in the
transitional stage to pave the way for the success of the national dialogue,
he said.
UN supports all actions President Hadi made in order to stabilize Yemen,
Benomar added. (end)
