ALGIERS, Dec 5 (KUNA) -- Algerian Finance Minister Karim Djoudi stressed here Wednesday the necessity of seeking means to boost cooperation between Algeria and Saudi Arabia in various fields.
Opening the 8th session of the Algerian-Saudi joint committee, co-chaired by Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Algerian minister said both countries should "examine together means to strengthen cooperation by boosting bilateral relations in various fields".
He also called for conducting a "comprehensive and objective" assessment of Algerian-Saudi cooperation since the last session of the joint committee was held in Riyadh in 2008.
Algeria and Saudi Arabia are currently considering bilateral agreements in the sectors of vocational training, information and communication technologies and culture, Djoudi said.
For his part, the Saudi minister hailed Saudi-Algerian relations, calling for upgrading the level of two-way trade exchange between both sides.
He highlighted the role of the joint committee in the reactivation of the private sector's contribution to the development of mutual investments. (end) ft.mt KUNA 060022 Dec 12NNNN
