GAZA, Nov 11 (KUNA) -- Israeli authorities shutdown on Sunday Karam Abu Salem crossing, the only commercial crossing between Israel and Gaza Strip.
Chairman of the Coordination Committee for entry of goods into Gaza Strip, Raed Fattouh, said that the Israeli side informed them that the passageway will be closed due to the critical security situation in Gaza Strip.
Gaza strip is witnessing continuous exchanged attacks between the Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli army, especially after the injury of four Israeli soldiers by Palestinian militants east of Gaza City.
Karam Abu Salem crossing, is the only commercial crossing between Gaza and Israel which allows the entry of food goods and aid to the coastline of Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the Israeli army launched yesterday a series of raids and artillery shelling on different areas of Gaza Strip, which led to the death of six and injuring 37 Palestinians.
