GAZA, Nov 11 (KUNA) -- Israeli authorities shutdown on Sunday Karam Abu
Salem crossing, the only commercial crossing between Israel and Gaza Strip.
Chairman of the Coordination Committee for entry of goods into Gaza Strip,
Raed Fattouh, said that the Israeli side informed them that the passageway
will be closed due to the critical security situation in Gaza Strip.
Gaza strip is witnessing continuous exchanged attacks between the
Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli army, especially after the
injury of four Israeli soldiers by Palestinian militants east of Gaza City.
Karam Abu Salem crossing, is the only commercial crossing between Gaza and
Israel which allows the entry of food goods and aid to the coastline of Gaza
Strip.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army launched yesterday a series of raids and
artillery shelling on different areas of Gaza Strip, which led to the death of
six and injuring 37 Palestinians. In response, Palestinian resistance factions
fired tens of rockets and missiles from Gaza to southern Israel. (end)
