KUWAIT, Nov 7 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) next training plan consists of awareness activities in fields of health, environment and education, said KPC Managing Director of Training and Career Development Sheikha Shatha Nasser Al-Sabah on Wednesday.
KPC sponsored a seminar entitled "Outcome of Smoking" on Monday to raise awareness of the hazards of nicotine. It also sponsored a lecture at the Division of Respiratory Medicine, Department of Medicine of Amiri Hospital. The lecture was addressed by Dr. Fahad Al-Ghimlas, a specialist at the Amiri Hospital and Dasman Diabetes Institute, Sheikha Shatha explained in a statement.
"The lectures' vital aim is to raise awareness of the society about dangers of smoking which has spread recently among both sexes around 18-20 years old," she added.
Sheikha Shatha pointed out that the KPC holds lectures as part of a strategic plan for 2030 to raise awareness within the society.
For his part, manager of Training and Career Development Department, Mr. Abdullatif Ahmed Al-Hoti affirmed the lectures' goal to raise health awareness among the youths. (end) asg.ysa.hs KUNA 071849 Nov 12NNNN
