KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) said here Saturday that air-traffic at Kuwait International Airport was normal despite low visibility spurred by the onset of a sandstorm.
DGCA's Head of operations Essam Al-Zamel told KUNA that air-traffic was proceeding normally despite the inclement weather, noting that the field of vision for aircraft traffic was at 600 meters.
Flights are allowed to operate within 250 meters visibility for incoming planes and 150 meters for departing ones, he said. (end) hq.tb.ma KUNA 171525 Mar 12NNNN
