SANAA, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi has been elected with an overwhelming 99.8 percent vote as interim Yemeni president for two years, the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) said Friday.
SCER Chairman Hustice Mohammad Hussein Al-Hakimi told a news conference that Hadi won 99.8 percent of voters.
Hadi, the second Vice-President in the united Yemen, was chosen by the government and opposition as their sole candidate to be an interim president for two years in line with a GCC-brokered agreement.
Al-Hakimi said turnout of voters in the early presidential voting was 65 percent.
