BAGHDAD, Jan 20 (KUNA) -- Iraq Friday condemned the rocket attack against the Turkish embassy in Baghdad last Wednesday.
A group carried out "a terrorist attack" on the Turkish embassy by firing rockets at the surrounding of the embassy causing minor damage to the embassy fence, Iraqi foreign ministry said in a statement.
The ministry condemned the attack and affirmed it would not affect the "solid" relations with Turkey nor their common desire to cooperate against terrorism and criminal acts.
Foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari contacted his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu and strongly condemned the criminal act. (end) mhg.bs KUNA 202155 Jan 12NNNN
