CAIRO, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- Four people were killed and 10 others taken to
hospital in a toxic gas leakage in eastern Cairo on Sunday.
The incident took place due to the interaction of mineral components with
wastewater in Abu Zaabal, Qalubia Governorate, to the east of Cairo, a medical
source said.
Ten people were rushed to hospital after inhaling the toxic gas. Nine of
them have already been discharged from hospital, the source added.
Immediately, the residents of nearby areas were given masks and asked to
keep away from the site, Egypt's official news agency, MEANA, reported. (end)
