TEHRAN, Nov 28 (KUNA) -- An informed source at the Iranian Foreign Ministry
on Monday confirmed reports saying that Hungary had refused to allow a plane
carrying Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to Holland to enter its airspace.
The source, on anonymity, was quoted by Iran's Mehr news agency as saying
that Hungary's refusal to give clearance to Salehi's plane was unacceptable
due to alleged technical problems.
Therefore, the source added, the Foreign Ministry has sought explanation
from the Hungarian ambassador in Tehran.
The Iranian foreign minister was scheduled to fly to The Hague to attend
the annual 19th conference of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical
Weapons. (end)
