KUWAIT, March 1 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received on Tuesday at Bayan Palace, in the presence of First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the families of prisoners, martyrs and missing persons.
His Highness expressed his pleasure at meeting with the children and families of the Kuwaiti martyrs who made history and were the main scene in Kuwait's national epic, commending the Kuwaiti martyrs as "the purest and most honest people Kuwait has ever had".
"The martyrs of Kuwait are the logo of genuine patriotism and sacrifice," he said, calling on their parents to feel proud of their loved ones for their sacrifices for the homeland, thus reflecting a wonderful image of togetherness and collaboration among Kuwaitis for many generations to come.
HH the Prime Minister said that the sacrifices of the martyrs "represent to us a lesson in the Kuwaitis' commitment and adherence to constitutional legitimacy".
He also stressed that Kuwait would remain just as its sons and daughters wanted it to be, namely a beautiful painting formulated by all Kuwaiti spectrums regardless of region, caste or tribe. "The sacrifices of the martyrs make us more determined to achieve their aspirations and ambitions in a free country in which all its sons and daughters live in equality amd freedom and have a decent living," he continued.
HH also conveyed the best greetings and regards of His Higness the Amir, HH the Crown Prince, government and parliament members to the families of the Kuwaiti martyrs.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, sheikhs, ministers, governors and senior state officials in the Office of HH the Prime Minister. (end) tg KUNA 011535 Mar 11NNNN
