JEDDAH, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) strongly condemned Sunday Israel's plans to destroy the house of Amin Al-Husseini, the late Mufti of Al-Quds, in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.
OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said Israel has no right to confiscate and destroy the house of late Al-Hussein on pretext of building a settlement in its place.
The Israeli move, he added, was "a blatant violation of the international law and the fourth Geneva convention which forbids the occupation state to change the shape of the occupied lands or seizing properties of others and moving the settlers to them." The OIC, he continued to say, would move at every direction to stop the Israeli plans.
He called on international organizations concerned to urgently intervene to stop Israel from carrying out its plans. (end) yms.bs KUNA 092059 Jan 11NNNN
