ISLAMABAD, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- Security in Punjab capital Lahore and federal capital Islamabad was put on red alert after the unfortunate assassination of Punjab Governor, Salman Taseer, in a gun attack, purportedly by his own one of the security guards.
Security has been put on red alert in Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi as well, police sources told KUNA. Reports from the cities said that all markets, bazaars and trade centers have been closed immediately. The assassination took place in one of the safest areas of Islamabad.
