ISLAMABAD, Dec 8 (KUNA) -- The death toll of a suicide bombing earlier
Wednesday in Pakistani northern Kohat town is now up to 15, with over 20
others wounded, many seriously.
District Coordinating Officer (DCO) Shahidullah Khan talking to newsmen at
the scene said that this was a suicide bombing and that the authorities have
recovered the head and other parts of the suspected bombers body.
However, he said, the explosion ripped through a bus and not a barbers
shop as being reported earlier. He said a suicide bomber blew himself up near
a bus at the Tirah Bazaar bus station in the town.
The DCO said the explosion killed twelve people and wounded over twenty
others. At least three more succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
The DCO feared further rise in the death toll as several of the wounded
were in critical condition.(pick up previous)
