By Zaid Al-Sarbal GUANGZHOU, China, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti shooter Khaled Al-Mudhaf expressed delight at winning a silver and a gold medal at the Asian Games on Friday, dedicating the achievements to the Kuwaiti leadership and people.
Al-Mudhaf won a silver medal in the singles Trap shooting competition, after making it to the podium a day earlier with a gold medal in the team event of the same category held in Guangzhou, China.
He told KUNA that the achievements are dedicated to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, the Kuwaiti government, the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, the Kuwait Shooting Club headed by Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people.
Al-Mudhaf is known for setting a world record in the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta, USA.
He was a component of the team that won the Asian gold medal on Thursday, which included Abdulrahman Al-Faihan and Naser Al-Miqled, who beat Al-Mudhaf to the gold medal in the Trap singles a day later. (end) zz.sd KUNA 191742 Nov 10NNNN
