GAZA, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- Tens of Palestinians were injured in the Umm Al-Fahm
Arab town north of Israel due to clashes with Israeli police.
Eyewitnesses told a radio station in Gaza that police were protecting a
group of settlers rallying in the southern part of the town, adding that the
police dispersed the Palestinian crowd in the town with tear-gas and other
weapons.
Settlers in the northern part of Israel are creating tension due to their
plans to hold rallies on the 20th anniversary of the death of Rabbi Meir
Khanaan, American-Israeli rabbi and ultra-nationalist writer and political
figure. (end)
