ISLAMABAD, Oct 25 (KUNA) -- At least three people were killed and two
others sustained serious injuries in a remote-controlled bomb blast on Monday
in Pakistani tribal agency, bordering Afghanistan, said officials.
Security officials told KUNA that a small passenger van hit a road-side
remote-controlled blast in Tanda district of Lower Orakzai tribal agency that
killed three people on the spot and wounded two others.
The explosion took place two days after security forces in an operation in
three districts of Upper Orakzai tribal agency on Saturday killed more than a
dozen militants and wounded several others.
Also, the forces were conducting operation in Barra district of Khyber
tribal agency on Monday. Security sources said that so far more than fifty
suspects have been rounded up. (end)
