WASHINGTON, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- Local authorities in Virginia have confirmed
that five gunshots were fired near the Pentagon building in Arlington.
Pentagon Force Protection Agency spokesman Terry Sutherland affirmed that
two bullets hit the south side of the Pentagon in an unoccupied part of the
building that is being renovated but the windows hit were bullet-proof and did
not shatter.
A spokesman for Pentagon Police Chris Layman noted that officers responded
after the five gunshots took place on Tuesday around 4:50 morning and the
police restricted access to the Pentagon area and blocked access to the
Pentagon Metro station for a brief period during investigation.
