DAMASCUS, July 29 (KUNA) -- President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday held Thursday talks with Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud at the People's Palace in Damascus with the meeting to focus on regional and international development as well as bilateral relations.
King Abdullah started a two-day official visit to Syria and was received by President Al-Assad at Damascus International Airport.
The Saudi King is on a regional tour to promote stability in the region and to strengthen relations amongst Arab nations.
King Abdullah's last visit to Damascus was in October of 2009 and the current visit holds hopes that the Saudi King, the Syrian and Lebanese Presidents would be holding a tri-summit to discuss issues of vital importance. (end) ek.gta KUNA 291723 Jul 10NNNN
