BAGHDAD, July 4 (KUNA) -- A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up Sunday afternoon at the entrance of one of the checkpoints of Al-Hadbaa police in Bab Al-Toob area in central Mosul leaving two policemen killed and four others wounded.
A police source in Mosul told Kuwait News Agency that a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up after police chased him in the center of Mosul.
The source said the bomber was carrying a large kettle camouflaging he was a juice vendor and at the same time wearing an explosive belt. He blew himself up suddenly when the police were chasing him near Al-Hadbba Police Directorate which was crowded with people purchasing groceries in downtown Mosul at the time.
The attack comes a day after at least 50 people were wounded Saturday night in a clan feud in the district of Baaj of the province of Nineveh. (end).
