GAZA, May 22 (KUNA) -- Israeli gunships opened fire on Saturday at Palestinian fishing boats out at sea, off the coasts of northern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources told KUNA that the Israeli gunships, out at sea, fired dozens of shells at fishing boats that were out in the Waha and Sudaniya areas, northern Gaza.
None of the fishermen were hurt in the attack, but many boats were severely damaged, the sources added, noting that the fishermen had to head to shore for safety.
Israel attacks Palestinian fishing boats almost daily, claiming that they exceeded the three-mile fishing area limit. (end) mzt.ema KUNA 220924 May 10NNNN
