SANAA, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- Umar Farouk Abdulmuttalib, the person behind the terrorist attempt to blow up a US airliner, had studied in Yemen in August 2009, said Information Minister Hassan Allouzi on Tuesday.
The official told the press that the government launched an investigation to find out what the Niger national was doing during his stay in Yemen, adding that Yemen was against any acts of terrorism whether it was on Yemeni or US soil.
