GAZA, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- Israeli troops burst in the refugee camp of Al-Aroub located near the ancient city of Hebron in the south of the West Bank on Tuesday wounding two Palestinians, Voice of Palestine radio said.
The troops boarding armored vehicles rumbled into the camp from several axes, opening fire at inhabitants of the shanty town and wounding two of them, the radio said, adding that the injured were whisked to hospital.
A spokesman of the Israeli Army said the Israeli forces thwarted tonight a bid by several inhabitants of this camp to attack Israelis boarding cars close to the camp.
The soldiers tried to stop five young Palestinians carrying molotov cocktails but they escaped, he said, adding that one activist was detained while the others fled. (end) mzt.rk KUNA 152306 Dec 09NNNN
