BEIRUT, April 17 (KUNA) -- Belgian Prime Minister Herman van Rompuy on Friday inspected his country's troops working with the international peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL).
Rompuy, accompanied by a high-level military delegation, arrived at the headquarters of his battalion in the town of Tibnin in Bint Jbeil district on board an international helicopter where he inspected his country's 370 soldiers who are engineering professionals specializing in removal of mines.
He concluded his tour by visiting the memorial of the three Belgian victims who died in a road accident on March 7, 2007 in the town of Kafr Shuba in the eastern sector. (end) an.tg KUNA 171716 Apr 09NNNN
