KUWAIT, Oct 5 (KUNA) -- Deputy Head of the Kuwait Basketball Association (KBA) Khalil Ibrahim Taher stressed that the country was all geared up for the FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup on October 9.
The five-day competition holds six Asian contesting countries namely, Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan, India, Kazakhstan and host country Kuwait.
Taher said that the KBA will do its utmost best to offer a pleasing and satisfactory tournament.
Three games will be played per day. Kuwait plays India at 7:00 pm on Thursday, followed by a game with Qatar, Khazakhstan, Lebanon and lastly Jordan.
The Stankovic Cup is held in honour of basketball's governing body FIBA Secretary General Emeritus Borislav Stankovic for his huge contributions to the world of basketball. (end) ayr.na.sd KUNA 051558 Oct 08NNNN
