ISLAMABAD, Sept 6 (KUNA) -- Pakistan Saturday refuted reports that logistic
supplies to NATO forces would be suspended from today, revealing that supplies
have been restored after being suspended temporarily for security reasons.
"This is totally wrong information. There was no blockade," said Advisor to
Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik talking to reporters here.
However, he said, the supplies were temporarily interrupted after security
was beefed up at the Jamrud Road on Friday evening on receiving reports of the
abduction of around 20 personnel of Frontier Corps (FC).
"After a short lull, the road was reopened and supplies were restored to
NATO forces," said the advisor.
"I have confirmed with the FC officials as well as Pakistan Army but no one
has reported any attack inside Pakistan by ISAF or NATO," he added. (pickup
