BAGHDAD, July 6 (KUNA) -- A roadside bomb killed up to seven family members of a senior Iraqi Kurdish official in Diyala province, Iraqi police source said on Sunday.
The bomb hit a convoy carrying Mohammed Ramadan and his family in Jalawla, 115 km northeast of Baghdad, killing at least seven people and injuring 12 others, the source said.
The bomb killed his wife and two or three of his sons, the source added.
The source also said that two bodyguards were also killed.
Ramadan, who was wounded, is a senior member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan party, one of the two main Kurdish parties in Iraq.(end) ahh.mb KUNA 061619 Jul 08NNNN
