By Hanan Al-Qaisi KUWAIT, June 25 (KUNA) -- A U.S. cargo plane has stopped for 40 minutes on Wednesday on runway of Kuwait International Airport due to malfunction of the tow truck which was tugging it to its runway.
The tow-truck, belonging to an aviation service provider malfunctioned at the entrance of the runway, Chairman of Kuwait Directorate General of Civil Aviation Fawaz Al-Farah told KUNA.
The incident delayed the departure of the U.S. military cargo plane for 40 minutes, he pointed out.
Technicians rushed to the site of the incident to fix the malfunction and disengage the tow-tuck from the plane.
The plane took off after the incident which necessitated rescheduling of the three subsequent flights of Kuwait Airways, Qatar Airways and Jazeera Airways respectively, Al-Farah added. (end) hq.mms.gb KUNA 252224 Jun 08NNNN
