AMMAN, June 7 (KUNA) -- A Jordanian official revealed Saturday that Kuwaiti
investments in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) reached about
USD 400 million.
Executive Chairman of the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), Emad
Fakhoury told KUNA on the sidelines of a memo signing ceremony with another
Jordanian company that Kuwaiti investments were important in Jordan, saying
most investments concentrated in the field of logistic transportation of goods.
He indicated that ASEZA was working on providing assistance to current and
future investments in the Aqaba area in cooperation with National Real Estate
Company (NREC) of Kuwait.
ADC signed with Jordanian Company for Reconstruction (Ta'amer) a USD 2.1
billion deal to develop a tourism project in Aqaba. (end)
