BAGHDAD, June 6 (KUNA) -- Team of Iraqi forensic experts is investigating dead bodies found by the Iraqi-US joint forces in Kamaliyah neighborhood of eastern Baghdad, US Army said in a statement on Friday.
According to the statement, Iraqi forensic experts were taking part in the onging investigations over the corpses that were found on June 3 in Kamaliyah district, close to Sadr City.
The teams are drying outposts, which the dead bodies were found to enable them to determine the cause of death and gather evidence, the statement added.
Steve Stover, a spokesman for US forces in Baghdad said that number of corpses they obtained were not accurate yet, estimated between 10-12 dead bodies.
A cooperative citizen led us to the corpse's locations which were dropped in that well for more than two years, he said. (end) mhg.sab KUNA 061421 Jun 08NNNN
