TEHRAN, May 4 (KUNA) -- The 21st International Islamic Unity Conference opened here on Sunday with participation of a number of intellectuals and scientists and distinguished scholars from 45 countries including Kuwait.
The conference is scheduled to discuss strengthening unity in the Islamic world, finding solutions to the problems of Muslims and bringing closer the scientific and cultural views of Muslim clerics.
The two-day conference, organized by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thoughts, will also review thoughts and convergence of morals and cultures.
Participating countries include Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, in addition to Islamic figures from the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Sweden. (end) mw.asa KUNA 041020 May 08NNNN
