GAZA Feb 14 (KUNA) -- Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad,
claimed responsibility Thursday for launching missiles at the Israeli town of
Sderot, northern Gaza Strip.
The brigades said in a statement its units launched early this morning a
couple of "Quds" missile at the Israeli twon of Sderot, eastern Beit Hanoun.
This attack is in retaliation for the Israeli crimes against Palestinians
in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, it said.
Israeli Army spokesman confirmed these attacks, noting that five missiles
were fired this morning from Gaza Strip targeting southern Israel. A number of
those missiles landed in Sapir College in western Negev, he said.
No causalities or material damage reported.(end)
