ISLAMABAD, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Pakistan successfully test-fired on Friday a
nuclear-capable missile, one week after it conducted the test of another
medium range nuclear missile, said military.
Pakistan has test-fired a new Ghuari Hataf-V Ballistic missile, a
technologically enhanced device with a range of 1300 km, said military in a
statement.
The test was conducted at the conclusion of annual ASFC exercises. It was
witnessed by President Pervez Musharraf, Chief of Army Staff Ashfaque Pervaiz
Kayani and other high military officials.
Speaking on the occasion of the launching of the missile, Musharraf said
Pakistan was fully capable of coping with all hazards facing its integrity and
nuclear weaponry.
He congratulated the Pakistan Army and the scientists on the successful
conduct of the test.
He said some elements wanted to denuclearize Pakistan, adding that the
Pakistani Armed Forces were full-fledged professional and trained to the core.
