By Mohammad Baqari (with photos) TIRANA, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- Albanian finance minister Ridvan Bode said Monday his government was wording an agreement to cancel dual taxation with the State of Kuwait.
The agreement, which was supposed to be signed during last month's visit of Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah to Tirana, had been returned to the experts for re-wording in order to cope with economic laws of Kuwait, Bode said in a statement to KUNA.
The new agreement, Bode said, was scheduled to be signed in April of this year.
The new deal, he said, would contribute directly to activation and facilitation of commercial and economic relations between Albania and Kuwait, as well as removing obstacles facing flow of goods between both countries.
The deal, said the minister, would encourage the Kuwaiti government and businessmen to invest in Albania.
The Albanian ministry of finance has taken steps to implement a government committee, whose establishment was signed during Kuwait Prime Minister's visit to Tirana.
This committee, Bode went on, would serve as a cornor stone for the development of political, economic, technical, scientific, tourism and cultural relations.
The Albanian and Kuwaiti governments are in constant contacts to speed up the function of the committee, he said.
The Albanian ministry of finance is looking forward for the attraction of Kuwaiti capitals, said Bode.
Bode said he realized how important it was to reform the economic laws in Albania in order to provide more guarantees for foreign investments. (end) mbq.bs KUNA 142204 Jan 08NNNN
