TEHRAN, Dec 22 (KUNA) -- Any new sanctions by the UN Security Council (UNSC) on Iran will lack legitimacy and logica, Iranian government spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham said on Saturday.
In his weekly press briefing, Elham noted that the Iranian nuclear program is lawful according to all international organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), adding that taking the issue to the UNSC was wrong from the start, and "must be corrected."
