GAZA, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Palestinian armed factions on Thursday claimed
responsibility for bombing Israeli targets at Sderot and Sofa.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of Fatah, said in a statement
today that one of its armed groups launched three (Yassir) missiles toward the
town of Sderot southern Israel, adding that the missiles had directly hit its
targets and the fighters had returned safe to bases.
The statement said that the operation came in response to continued Israeli
threats against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Another Fatah armed group; Martyr Ahmad Abu Al-Reesh Brigades, also claimed
responsibility of bombing Israeli Sofa military post with three home-made (Amr
2) missiles.
The attack targeted the military site located in the city of Rafah,
southern the Gaza Strip. (end)
