(With photos) BEIRUT, Nov 8 (KUNA) -- Visiting Chairperson of the Kuwait's Higher Committee for the Ideal Mother Award Sheikha Fareeha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday met with Lebanon's Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh.
During the visit, Sheikha Fareeha will meet with Lebanese President Emile Lahoud who will award her the National Cedar Medal of the Commander Order.
"The pinnacle of my visit to Beirut will be the meeting with president Lahoud who will honor me with the National Cedar Medal of the Commander Order. This is, no doubt, a source of pleasure," Sheika Fareeha told KUNA after the meeting with Salloukh.
"I dedicate the Medal to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and all the proud Kuwaiti people," she added.
On the meeting with Salloukh, Sheikha Fareeha said that he was one of the diplomats giving Kuwait priority in their agenda.
Sheikha Fareeha's meeting with the Lebanese Foreign Minister was attended by the Kuwaiti ambassador in Beirut Abdul-Al Al-Quena'i and her accompanying delegation, Higher Kuwaiti Committee for the Ideal Mother Award Seham Al-Qabandi, head of the media committee, Ghannam Al-Daikan and head of the cultural committee Suad Al-Erifan.
Undersecretary of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry Bassam Al-Numani and FM's office director Rami Murtada also attended.
Sheikha Fareeha's tour will also see her in Syria and Tunis seeking stronger relations between the Kuwaiti woman and women in these countries.
Awarding Sheikha Fareeha the National Cedar Medal of the Commander Order comes in recognition of her material and moral contributions to diverse humanitarian activities, chiefly catering for people with special needs both at home and abroad. (end) ah.msa KUNA 081233 Nov 07NNNN
