DAMASCUS, July 26 (KUNA) -- A fire broke out in a gas cylinder depot in
northern Syria Thursday triggering explosion of some 100 cylinders, state-run
news agency (SANA) reported. No one was hurt.
It quoted the governor of Al-Reqqa governorate Ahmad Khalil as saying fire
engines and civil defense teams rushed to the scene of the explosion, which
caused material damage only.
SANA said an investigation was launched to know the causes of the fire.
The explosion of the gas cylinders occured shortly after a big explosion
caused by explosives in a military unit killing 15 soldiers and injured 50
