(with photos) KUWAIT, May 29 (KUNA) -- The Environmental Protection Society's diving team successfully concluded on Tuesday efforts to remove fishing nets caught on corals in the waters off Umm Al-Maradim island located south of Kuwait bay.
Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the team's marine operations' officer, Waleed Al-Shatti said the diving team managed to free coral reefs from trapped fishing nets, as part of ongoing efforts to preserve Kuwait's marine environment.
The team used air bags to lift the nets to surface, Al-Shatti pointed out.
