Pakistani President leaves for Saudi Arabia
ISLAMABAD, June 25 (KUNA) -- Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf
Saturday left for a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the
Saudi leadership.
Besides performing Umrah, the President would also meet Saudi leadership
and hold talks on matters of bilateral issues, said a foreign office
statement.
The presidents visit will take place against the backdrop of excellent
brotherly and cordial relations the two countries traditionally enjoy, said
the statement.
It said the presidents focus during the visit will be on furthering
relations with Saudi Arabia in political, economic, commercial, investment and
security areas.
The visit will also provide an opportunity to the leaders to discuss
regional and international issues, it said.
Earlier, this month Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz paid a three-day
visit to Saudi Arabia. (end)
