Pak President leaves for New York, Canada
ISLAMABAD, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- The President of Pakistan General Pervez
Musharraf Saturday left for a weeklong visit to New York and Canada.
The President, under the schedule, would address the United Nations General
Assemblys 58th session on Wednesday next. He would also hold meetings with
other heads of states and governments on the sidelines of UN General Assembly
meeting besides World Bank and International Monitory Funds (IMF) heads.
President Musharraf would meet US President George W Bush on Wednesday. It
is likely that the two leaders would discuss Pak-US bilateral relations,
regional and international issues and other issues of mutual interests.
General Pervez Musharraf would also address the Pakistani community in the
United States. President would also give interviews to different international
Newspapers and TV Channels during his stay in the United States.
He would leave for Toronto on Wednesday on a two-day visit to Canada.
During the visit he would meet Canadian Prime Minister and discuss host of
issues including bilateral relations between the two countries. (end)
