President Musharraf to start four-nation tour Tuesday
ISLAMABAD, June 14 (KUNA) The President of Pakistan General Pervez
Musharraf will embark on a four-nation visit to Europe and the United States
from Tuesday,
June 17.
During his two-week tour, he will visit Britain, United States, Germany and
France, a foreign office official told KUNA Saturday.
In the first leg of his tour, General Pervez Musharraf would arrive in
Britain on Tuesday where he would hold a meeting with the Prime Minister Tony
Blair, the
official said.
He said, during the talks with British authorities they would discuss
bilateral relations, regional and international issues particularly
Indo-Pakistan
relations.
Then President General Pervez Musharraf would leave for the United States.
US President Bush has invited Pakistani President Musharraf at Camp David
on June 24 for talks in view of Pakistan vital role in the war against
terrorism.
The two leaders are scheduled to hold talks on bilateral and international
issues. However the main item on the agenda would be the ongoing war against
terrorism.
General Musharraf would also call on UN Secretary General Kofi Annan during
his stay in the United States.
Later the Pakistan President would leave for France where he will meet his
French counterpart in Paris on July 2nd and will discuss bilateral relations
besides other issues.
Afterwards he will land in Germany where he would meet the German leaders
and both the sides would hold wide-ranging talks on mutual and international
issue.
