Kuwait will leave no stone unturned to uncover fate of POWS - Sharar KUWAIT, April 27 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Cabinet discussed on Sunday the efforts being exerted by various state bodies to uncover the fate of the Kuwaiti POWs in Iraq.
Deputy Premier, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Mohammad Dhaifallah Sharar said in the offset of the cabinet session that the cabinet followed the outcome of the contacts being made with the coalition forces and the International Committee of the Red Cross to uncover the fate of the POWs.
"Kuwait has set the issue of the POWs on the top of its agenda," Sharar said, adding that "Kuwait would not leave any stone unturned to uncover the fate of the POWs who have been suffering for the past 13 years.
The Cabinet also renews its calls for the brotherly Iraqi people and the coalition forces to intensify their efforts to secure the release of the POWs and to put an end to this humanitarian tragedy. (end) bk KUNA 271614 Apr 03NNNN
