Qatar's Amir opens Conference on Democracy Monday DOHA, April 13 (KUNA) -- Qatar's Amir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani is scheduled to open Monday the Third Qatar Conference on Democracy and Free Trade, which is organized by the Qatar center for studies in Qatar University in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The two-day Conference will witness the Amir's opening statements. The Conference will launch with the participation of 140 distinguished figures from around the world, including members of the US Congress, UK Parliament and the representative of the UN General Secretary for Culture dialogues.
The Conference will discuss several issues, mainly of democracy in the Arab world, Arab political system development or revolution, free trade and open markets in a changing world, globalization and continuous development, in addition to education, and human rights.
