Kuwait Catering Company opens new "Shrimpy" restaurant branch in Cyprus Kuwait, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Catering Company announced the opening of a new branch belonging to the international "Shrimpy" chain of restaurants in Cyprus which will be 100 percent owned by the company.
Director of the Marketing and Sales department at the company, Bassam Al-Ghareeb, told KUNA the company is currently holding negotiations with Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, France and Canada to sell the name "Shrimpy" as a name accredited internationally.
The Shrimpy restaurant is a Kuwaiti food chain and is the first Kuwaiti company to sell its name outside the country and it is the only restaurant worldwide to offer fast seafood.
He noted that to have the "Shrimpy" restaurant reach the same level as major international fast food restaurants, such as Mc Donalds, Burger King and Hardee's is something to be proud of.
The quality of food and services offered by the restaurant is the reason behind many major Arab and European companies desiring to buy the name and open branches of "Shrimpy" in their country.

The company also owns six branches of "Shrimpy" in Lebanon which were opened six years ago.
