KUWAIT, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti MP Dr. Waleed Al-Tabtabae said Thursday a
national conference about negative phenomena in Kuwaiti society would be held
next April.
Al-Tabtabae, chairman of the "Negative and Alien Phenomena Committee," said
in a press release the conference aimed at highlighting threats posed by
"negative phenomena" and how to tackle them through government authorities and
NGOs.
Everbody realizes the size of problem caused by "alien" phenomena, said the
lawmaker who added that addressing them should take place within a moral and
religious framework.
The conference will feature participation of socialogists and psychologists
to discuss "trans-sexualism and other phenomena related to tribal or sectarian
fanaticism, as well as some negative impacts caused by media," said
Al-Tabtabae.
He said the conference would be a good opportunity for the Arab and Islamic
