RIYADH, Dec 16 (KUNA) -- GCC Secretary General Jasem Al-Budaiwi extended his highest congratulations to Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Bahraini government, and the Bahraini people on the Kingdom's National Day and the anniversary of the King's accession.
"This cherished national occasion represents a shining milestone in the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain and holds a deeply rooted place in the hearts of its people," Al-Budaiwi said in a statement.
He went on to say, "It is also viewed with great appreciation and pride by the peoples and states of the GCC as it reflects a national journey filled with achievements, and highlights the progress and prosperity witnessed by the Kingdom across various fields under the wise leadership of His Majesty."
The national celebrations highlight the strong unity between Bahrain's leadership and its people, he said, adding that "This bond has yielded security, stability, and comprehensive development, further strengthening the Kingdom of Bahrain's standing both regionally and internationally." (end)
