10th Food Africa expo kicks off in Cairo with Kuwait's participation

CAIRO, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- The 10th Food Africa Exhibition kicked off Tuesday, with the participation of more than 1,200 companies from 45 countries, including Kuwait, represented by the Public Authority for Industry (PAI).
Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, and Minister of Industry and Transport Lt.-Gen Kamel Al-Wazir, opened the exhibition, which runs until December 12.
He toured several local and international pavilions, including PAI's pavilion, where he welcomed Kuwaiti officials and commended the quality and diversity of the Kuwaiti products on display.
Kuwait is taking part with a delegation headed by PAI Deputy Director General for Export Sector Mishari Al-Mnawer, and including Promotion Department Director at PAI Hammad Al-Zoubi and Senior Exhibitions Specialist Salwa Al-Enezi.
PAI's pavilion features 10 Kuwaiti factories and companies in the food industry, offering frozen and fresh food products, coffee, packaging materials, and various spices.
The exhibition also hosts three major concurrent events: the 6th "PacProcess" packaging and processing exhibition, the "Fresh Africa" exhibition for agricultural produce, and the "Dates Africa" exhibition dedicated to the dates sector, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry's Food Industries and Agro Processing Center.
This edition sees broad international participation with 14 national pavilions.
It also includes events and panel discussions on the future of food industries, agricultural produce, packaging, export competitiveness, investment opportunities, development of the dates sector, women's role in the future of food, mechanisms to boost intra-African trade, and European Union investments in the agriculture food sector.
Key participating countries include Kuwait, Algeria, Bahrain, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Germany, Russia, Brazil, Spain, India, Pakistan, Italy, China, Poland, Turkey, South Korea, Malaysia, France, Nigeria, Jordan, Morocco, and Mauritania.
