Director General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Joint Program Production Institution Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah
ABU DHABI, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Joint Program Production Institution (GCCJPPI) Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said Tuesday that the inaugural Bridge 2025 Global Media Summit reflects a distinguished Gulf model in hosting major international media events.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the summit, which kicked off late Monday in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mubarak said that the institution's participation underscores the Gulf's investment in media as a soft power tool shaping public awareness and reinforcing a shared cultural identity, in addition to the institution's role in supporting GCC-led initiatives.
He noted that the GCCJPPI is showcasing its journey since its establishment in 1976, including a collection of new creative projects scheduled to launch in 2026 as part of its development track coinciding with its 50th anniversary.
The event also features live interviews, podcasts, and on-ground coverage with prominent summit participants to capture perspectives on the future of media and industry challenges.
Sheikh Mubarak praised the organizers of the summit, led by Chairman of UAE National Media Office (NMO) Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Hamed, for their efforts and hospitality, wishing them continued success.
The three-day event, which started late Monday with the participation of Kuwait's Minister of Information and Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, brings together more than 60,000 participants and 400 global speakers to discuss the future of global media across seven key tracks, including digital content, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and film production.
